What are eyelash extensions?

Eyelash extensions are a cosmetic technique that lengthens and thickens natural eyelashes. particular synthetic or natural fibers that resemble human eyelashes are attached to existing eyelashes using a special adhesive.

Eyelash extension procedures are usually performed at a salon or spa and are performed by trained and certified eyelash technicians. Our technicians carefully select lashes of varying lengths, thicknesses and curls to create a customized look that suits your taste and eye shape.

To apply the extensions, the lash technician isolates a single natural eyelash using tweezers and then delicately attaches a single extension fiber to the base of the natural lash, near the eyelid, using a tiny amount of adhesive. As long as desired fullness and length are not achieved, this procedure will continue on the lash line.

Eyelash extensions can provide several benefits, such as:

-Enhanced length and volume: Extensions may increase natural lashes to be longer, fuller or thicker, which can create dramatic or subtle effects depending on the desired look.
-Time-saving: With eyelash extensions, there’s no need for daily application of mascara or curling, saving time during your beauty routine.
-Convenience: Once applied, eyelash extensions can last for several weeks, eliminating the need for frequent maintenance.
-Configurable appearance: Lash technicians are capable of adjusting the extensions to accommodate individual preferences, whether natural, glamorous or bold.
-Boosted confidence: Many individuals find that having fuller, longer lashes enhances their overall appearance and boosts their self-confidence

It should be noted that to guarantee the long and healthy life of your extensions, adequate care and maintenance is required. In order to replace any missing or outgrown lashes and maintain desired look, regular touchups are usually required every 2-4 weeks. To assess if Eyelash Extensions are appropriate for you, and to receive personalised advice on the basis of your specific needs and preferences, it is recommended that you have a consultation with an experienced lash technician.

How long do eyelash extensions last?

The longevity of eyelash extensions can be affected by:

-Natural eyelash growth cycle:
Each individual’s natural eyelashes go through her three-stage growth cycle:
anagen (growth), catagen (transition), telogen (rest/dropout). Eyelash extensions are attached to your own eyelashes, so they will fall out naturally along with your own eyelashes. This hair removal process can affect the durability of the extensions.

-Aftercare and maintenance:
Proper aftercare is important to prolong the life of your eyelash extensions. Following the eyelash technician’s guidelines, such as using oil-based products, excessive moisture, not rubbing or pulling the lashes, and using gentle cleaning techniques can help extend the life of your extensions.

-Individual factors:
Factors such as the quality of your natural lashes, lifestyle, skin type, and general grooming can affect how long your eyelash extensions last. Some people bond more than others because of these factors.

What is the difference between classic and volume eyelash extensions?

The main difference between classic and volume eyelash extensions lies in the application technique and the final look achieved. Here’s a breakdown of each type:

Classic Eyelash Extensions: Application method: Each individual natural lash is applied with an extension fiber in classic eyelash extensions. It means that one extension is connected to the other’s native lash. Look and effect: natural, mascaralike effects are created by classic extensions. They enhance the length and thickness of natural lashes that provide a subtle, defined look. For those looking for a more organic and daily look, traditional extensions are appropriate.

Volume Eyelash Extensions:
Application Technique: Volume eyelash extensions involve the application of multiple thinner extension fibers in a fan-like shape, which are then applied to each natural lash. This technique creates a fuller and more voluminous effect.
Look and Effect: Volume extensions offer a more dramatic and glamorous look. They provide increased volume, density, and dimension to the lashes. Volume extensions are suitable for those who desire a bolder and more noticeable lash appearance.
The number of lashes applied in volume extensions can vary depending on the desired level of volume and the client’s natural lashes. Volume lashes are generally lighter in weight compared to classic lashes because the thinner extension fibers used in the fans are lighter than a single thicker extension.

Keep in mind that the specific techniques and terminology used in the eyelash industry vary, and different eyelash technicians may have their own approaches and variations. It is always recommended to consult an eyelash professional to discuss your desired look and get expert advice on what type of extensions are best for you based on your natural lashes and personal preferences.
